David Brown

Head Golf Professional

As the Head Golf Professional, David’s responsibilities include serving the membership, management of the golf shop, management of the golf course, and project assistance. David has a finance certificate from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Grand Canyon University.

David started in the golf business at eighteen years old, cleaning golf carts and scrubbing golf clubs. He worked his way through college as a player service attendant and golf caddy at some of the best golf facilities in the world—even Augusta National. He played golf professionally from 2004-2012 full-time, and he is currently enrolled in the PGA Apprentice Program. David recently earned the Oregon Chapter PGA Player of the Year for 2017.

David enjoys the camaraderie and the family environment at Arrowhead; he is excited for the opportunity to impact positive changes and quality improvements throughout the club. Arrowhead provides a place to meet great people and create friendships through golf.

If this golf pro isn’t golfing, he is probably watching a ball game, movies, or working on projects at his house. You may not know that David has also been trained in Jiu-Jitsu by one of the best Jiu-Jitsu specialists in the world.

Mason Martin

Director of Golf

As the Director of Golf, Mason’s responsibilities include assisting/serving the membership, management of the golf shop, management of operations, and creating the best possible experience for everyone. Mason has an associate degree in accounting from Clackamas Community College.

Mason started in the golf industry in the fall of 2015, here at Arrowhead Golf Club, working in the golf shop. Mason worked in the golf shop full time until early 2020, when he moved to our accounting department and was the Arrowhead Accountant for just over a year. In late Spring 2021, Mason moved back into the golf shop as the Director of Golf.

Mason enjoys the family environment here at Arrowhead and appreciates the ability to call this place home. Mason grew up in Oregon City and fun fact, he actually played basketball in high school for Bryce Fisher.

When Mason isn’t on the course or in the shop, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, and outdoors camping.

Ian Basile

Tournament Director

As the Tournament Director, Ian manages tournament formats, registration, event setup, and scoring to add to the fun of being a golf member at Arrowhead. You’ll also see him working behind the counter, assisting with running the golf shop and athletic club.

Ian graduated from the University of Oregon in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in business marketing. Before joining us at Arrowhead, Ian has worked multiple jobs in the golf industry. During summer breaks in college, he was a staff member at his home course, Eastmoreland Golf Course. He went on to work for the Oregon Golf Association in their USGA Tournament Operations intern program. This job had Ian traveling around the state, working a full season of junior golf tournaments and USGA qualifiers while learning about tournaments, handicapping, and course rating. All this led to Ian joining us here at Arrowhead in January of 2022.

Outside of the golf course, Ian can be found watching sports, playing pool, tossing around a frisbee, skiing in the winter, or relaxing with family and friends. Ian’s peak athletic achievement was threepeating as an Intramural Ultimate Frisbee Champion back in his college days at the University of Oregon.
